The Kennesaw Mountain Junior Mustangs play in the Senior Select Division of the Metro Atlanta Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA)

The primary objective of the Kennesaw Mountain Junior Lacrosse program is to provide a safe, educational environment for the learning and practice of of the game of lacrosse while observing the fundamental tenets of good sportsmanship and team play.  The secondary objective is to provide the KMHS program with a pool of skilled players on which to build a successful high school program.

Team membership is open to middle school players (6th-8th grade) of any skill or experience level.  With limited roster slots available, priority is given as follows:

1.  Players who are in the KMHS school district

2.  Players planning on applying for the KMHS magnet program

3.  Players planning to attend high schools in any district (public/private) without a lacrosse program

4.  All other players from any other high school district

Skill Assessments / Tryouts are usually conducted in the first weekend in December, and practice begins the third week in January.
